Supporting High-Quality, Compassionate Care for Our Community
Now and for Generations to Come
Miami residents Mark and Jo Ann Hildebrandt are fourth generation supporters of Mount Sinai Medical Center. The Hildebrandts have supported the medical center’s mission in a multitude of ways, including the naming of the Hildebrandt Emergency Center, which opened its doors to the community in 2019, and most recently with their support of the new Irma and Norman Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center.
In 1986, Mark founded his own law firm and continues to be a successful and trusted litigator. Jo Ann, a former court reporter, raised their two daughters and volunteered in children’s and healthcare organizations. “Our history with Mount Sinai is a direct representation of our belief in high-quality health care for all,” said Mark. “Both of our wonderful daughters were born there, as well as three of our grandchildren, and we’re excited for them to continue our family’s involvement in such an important institution.”
Mark currently serves as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and prior to that, served as the medical center’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees for three years and the Foundation President for four years. The Hildebrandts’ family legacy has been intertwined with Mount Sinai for decades, shaping the landscape of high-quality accessible health care in South Florida.
The Hildebrandts contributed to the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center, posed to open its doors in early 2026. Offering true clinical excellence, coupled with an unparallelled patient-centric approach, the new cancer center will expand access to prevention, detection, treatments, support, and most importantly, survivorship for the community. About their donation to this critical expansion, Mark said: “The new cancer center will provide critical access, expertise and hope to families across South Florida. From the enhanced technologies and research trials to the robust support services and calming views of Biscayne Bay, everything has been designed with the patients’ journey and needs in mind.”
Through their work at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Mark and Jo Ann Hildebrandt continually renew their promise of philanthropy. On the importance of giving, Jo Ann said, “We know how crucial institutions like Mount Sinai are for South Florida. Giving has been ingrained in our family, and we believe that supporting pillars of our community is the best way to contribute to progress and change.”
The family is excited for their two children and grandchildren to continue the fourth-generation support of Mount Sinai, and they hope that their steadfast commitment inspires others to become involved in their community.
