Dr. Janet Abrams is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with more than 20 years of experience in women’s health. She earned her medical degree from First Tashkent State Medical School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she also completed her first residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. She further trained at Mount Sinai in New York and Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.

Dr. Abrams has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of gynecologic conditions and specializes in both minor and major gynecologic procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries, hysteroscopies, cervical conizations, uterine and vulvar biopsies. Her clinical interests include annual well-woman exams, contraception, management of abnormal Pap smears, diseases of the vulva, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and hormone replacement therapy.

Dr. Abrams is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Throughout her career, Dr. Abrams has held academic and clinical leadership roles at several renowned institutions, including Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone Health, where she served as a GYN Clinical Instructor. Most recently, she was an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she provided comprehensive gynecologic care while teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.

Dr. Abrams’ philosophy centers on the importance of preventative medicine and building trusted relationships with her patients. She believes that education, compassion, and attentive listening are the foundations of meaningful care.

She is Fluent in English and Russian.
