Kathryn Machinchick is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in medical genetics at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University. She provides comprehensive care for patients with inherited connective tissue disorders and hereditary cardiovascular conditions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized, patient-centered care.
Kathryn evaluates patients with suspected or confirmed genetic conditions through comprehensive clinical assessments, family history evaluations, genetic testing interpretation, and cardiovascular imaging review. Her clinical interests include hereditary connective tissue disorders and aortopathies, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, and hereditary thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection.
Kathryn is a member of Mount Sinai’s Cardiogenetics Program, where she works closely with a geneticist specializing in connective tissue disorders (CTDs) and collaborates with experts in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and radiology. This multidisciplinary approach ensures coordinated, comprehensive care for patients with hereditary cardiovascular and connective tissue conditions. She is committed to improving patient outcomes through education, prevention, early detection, and individualized surveillance and management.
