Cynthia Van is a board-certified physician assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She provides comprehensive perioperative and inpatient care for patients with complex neurological conditions, working closely with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and postoperative recovery.
She earned her Master of Clinical Medical Sciences from Barry University and brings a strong foundation in acute and procedural care. In her role, Cynthia conducts detailed preoperative and postoperative assessments, interprets advanced imaging studies including CT and MRI, manages surgical drains and wound care, and coordinates individualized recovery plans.
Cynthia is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication with patients and families. She prioritizes safety, education, and seamless continuity of care to support optimal outcomes for neurosurgical patients.
