Our Services

Pre-Employment Physicals
We offer full-scale physical exams for all pre-employment candidates. Our department collaborates with various municipalities, including police and fire-rescue personnel, cadets, and other government employees, as well as schools and private employers, to ensure each individual is in optimal health and fully prepared for their specific role.

Annual Physicals
Our annual physical exams are designed to monitor and maintain the health and readiness of public safety personnel and other critical employees. Routine check-ups can detect early signs of health issues and help employees remain fit for work throughout the year.

Drug Screening
We offer reliable and confidential drug screening, including pre-employment, for cause, and random testing. All results are reviewed by our on-site Medical Review Officer (MRO) to ensure a safe, drug-free workplace while adhering to regulatory standards.

CDL Physical Examination
We conduct certified physical exams for commercial driver’s license (CDL) applicants and holders. All CDL examinations are conducted by licensed medical examiners listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Return to Work Evaluations
After an employee has been absent due to illness or injury, our team performs thorough evaluations to assess their ability to safely return to work. We review both their job functions and health status to determine whether they can perform in their role without risk to themselves or others.

Fitness for Duty Evaluations
Fitness for Duty (FFD) at Mount Sinai consists of health assessments that verify if an employee is physically and mentally capable of performing their job duties. These evaluations are usually conducted after concerns are raised by a supervisor.

FMLA/ADA Reviews
We provide expert reviews and recommendations for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) or Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests. Our team ensures that employees receive appropriate accommodations or leave in compliance with legal requirements, while also safeguarding the operational integrity of your organization.

Respirator Clearances
Our department conducts in-depth reviews and clearance of respiratory questionnaire forms for respirator use (such as N-95 masks). Based on the responses, we may refer individuals for a physical exam and/or additional testing as necessary.

As part of our pre-employment and annual physical services, we offer a range of tests and screenings, customized to meet each individual’s specific needs. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Full-scale physical exams, including vitals and completion of any necessary documentation
  • Glaucoma testing
  • Hearing tests
  • Lab work
  • N-95 mask fitting
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Tuberculosis testing
  • Vaccinations
  • Vision testing

Additionally, our medical center also provides extra healthcare amenities such as imaging, cardiac screenings, outpatient rehabilitation (physical, occupational, and speech therapies), and much more.
