Medical Genetics and Genomics

Comprehensive medical assessment and screening, state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, and personalized treatment planning

Medical Genetics

At Mount Sinai Medical Center, our adult Medical Genetics team specializes in diagnosing and managing inherited conditions that affect adults. Unlike pediatric or prenatal genetics, our program focuses on conditions that often emerge during adulthood or may not be detected during earlier development. We also identify genetic mutations that may increase the risk of developing certain diseases later in life, such as cancer or cardiovascular disease. Our goal is to empower adults with the knowledge and support they need to understand their genetic risks and make informed decisions for their long-term health.
