    Meet our Neurosurgeons

    Samuel Kalb Goldsmit, MD

    Dr. Samuel Kalb Goldsmit is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgeries, as well as spinal deformities, revision spine surgery, computer-assisted surgery and spinal tumors. Dr. Kalb Goldsmit completed a fellowship in complex spine and robotic surgery at Johns Hopkins Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in minimally invasive spinal surgery and spinal deformity surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ, where he also practiced neurosurgery before joining Mount Sinai. Dr. Kalb Goldsmit has utilized his medical expertise to author scientific book chapters and give presentations on advanced spinal surgery techniques. He has also published extensive research in scientific journals in the areas of neurosurgery, spinal genetics and spinal disorders. Dr. Kalb Goldsmit is fluent in both English and Spanish.

    Todd Lasner, MD

    Dr. Todd Lasner is a neurosurgeon specializing in microsurgery, minimally invasive surgery and stereotactic radiosurgery to treat a number of spinal and cranial diseases. Dr. Lasner’s clinical interests include the surgical treatment of brain tumors, pituitary disorders, Chiari malformations, aneurysms, blood vessel malformations, stroke, hydrocephalus, spinal tumors and spinal stenosis. He also corrects disc herniations, conducts spinal cord stimulations, and treats traumatic and infectious disorders of the brain and spine. Dr. Lasner earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and completed his internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurosurgeons.
