Mount Sinai Medical Center Raises Over $168,000 in Record Give Miami Day 2025
Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation is celebrating an extraordinary second year participating in Give Miami Day 2025, raising over $168,200 in unrestricted funds to support accessible, nationally recognized healthcare across South Florida. The medical center ranked #36 among 265 large charity organizations in this year’s record-breaking event.
This year’s success comes at a pivotal time when healthcare access remains a pressing challenge for South Florida families. With over 16% of Miami-Dade County residents still uninsured — a figure that is 3% above the state average — Mount Sinai’s charity care programs serve as a vital lifeline for thousands.
“Give Miami Day is a meaningful reminder that when a community comes together, real change is possible,” said Max Sklar, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation. “We’re deeply thankful to The Miami Foundation for leading this effort, and to every single donor who stood with us. Together, we are building a healthier, more equitable future — one patient, one family, and one gift at a time.”
Mount Sinai’s dedication to charity care continues to grow year over year. In 2024, the medical center provided more than $230 million in charity care, including Over $64 million in emergency services, $16.4 million in care for individuals experiencing homelessness, and $7.5 million in cancer care. The funds raised through Give Miami Day 2025 will directly support these essential services while enabling continued investment in cutting-edge technologies, treatments, and patient support programs.
For over 75 years, Mount Sinai has delivered on its mission to provide high-quality healthcare to South Florida’s diverse community, strengthened through teaching, research, charity care, and financial responsibility. The success of Give Miami Day 2025 represents more than a fundraising milestone; it’s a testament to the deep trust and partnership Mount Sinai shares with the community it serves.
