Dr. Mariela Martinez Abeledo is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned her medical degree from Calixto García Medical College in Havana, Cuba. She completed her internal medicine residency at Kendall Regional Medical Center, Miami, Fla. She is currently on staff as a hospitalist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

Dr. Abeledo’s clinical interests include hospital medicine, cardiology, critical care, and anesthesiology. She has made poster presentations on atypical polymyalgia rheumatica and free-floating thrombus treatment, as well as implementing guided time for telemetry during hospitalization.

Dr. Abeledo is a member of the American College of Physicians, and she is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). She is also fluent in Spanish.
