Dr. Lindsey Bernhardt is a family medicine physician specializing in conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She completed her residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

Dr. Bernhardt’s clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care, comprehensive outpatient primary care, musculoskeletal medicine, and medical education.

During her training, Dr. Bernhardt has been actively involved in leadership and medical education initiatives, including serving in roles focused on inpatient workflow improvement, wellness programming, and teaching musculoskeletal physical exam skills to medical students. She has also contributed to quality improvement efforts aimed at reducing physician administrative burden through optimization of clinical workflows.

Her scholarly activity includes a quality improvement project focused on reducing physician in-basket messaging burden and improving clinic efficiency, as well as published work describing a rare case of Horner syndrome following anterior cervical laminectomy.

Dr. Bernhardt is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support.

In addition to her medical training, she has experience in athletic coaching and leadership, including serving as a collegiate varsity basketball team captain.
