Dr. Joseph Barbera is an orthopedic surgeon and an Assistant Professor at the Columbia University Division of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Barbera earned his medical degree from the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, FL, and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. After residency, he completed his adult total joint reconstruction fellowship at the Anderson Orthopedic Clinic in Alexandria, VA, where he trained with nationally and internationally recognized experts in anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and outpatient joint replacement.
