Dr. Héctor Dávila is Co-Chief of Anesthesia Clinical Services at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist who earned his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed his anesthesiology residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Dávila’s has extensive experience in perioperative medicine, medical education, and health care leadership. His leadership experience includes a distinguished 30-year career in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps, retiring with the rank of Colonel. During his military service, he served overseas in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, providing anesthesiology expertise, medical leadership, and operational support in challenging environments. He also earned a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pa.

Dr. Dávila is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while advancing education, leadership, and innovation in anesthesiology He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and holds other faculty appointments with the University of Miami and Barry University, where he teaches and mentors nursing and medical students. He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications in cardiothoracic surgery, perioperative medicine, and military medicine. He also remains active in several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Dávila is fluent in English and Spanish.
