Dr. Frank Czul-Gurdian is a gastroenterologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Czul-Gurdian earned his medical degree at Universidad de Ciencias Medicas in Costa Rica. He completed an internal medicine residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and went on to complete a clinical nutrition/small bowel fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Czul-Gurdian then returned to the University of Miami to complete a gastroenterology fellowship, where he was named chief fellow.

Before joining Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Czul-Gurdian served as a gastroenterologist and Medical Director of the Gastroenterology Division at Presbyterian Health Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he founded the paracentesis clinic and fecal material transplantation program, and was chosen for the Emerging Clinician Leader Award.

Dr. Czul-Gurdian has published research in peer reviewed journals on topics including Crohn’s disease, pancreatitis, gastroparesis, liver fibrosis, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Czul-Gurdian is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Czul-Gurdian is fluent in both English and Spanish.
