Dr. Fiorella Melendez is an Internal Medicine Physician who earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. She is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician who completed a year of General Surgery Residency at USF Morsani College of Medicine/Tampa General Hospital before moving on to completing an Internal Medicine Residency at UCF College of Medicine/HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville.

Dr. Melendez’s clinical interests include Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, and General and Vascular Surgery. She has made presentations on topics such as aortoiliac occlusive disease, gastroenterology, endovascular repair after traumatic injury, and neuroscience at national and international conferences, including the Society for Neuroscience, American College of Gastroenterology, Florida Vascular Society, and University of Miami.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Melendez has participated as a Procedural and Simulation Educator for incoming residents. She has also contributed to different committees including Critical Care, Wellness, and Graduation Planning Committees at UCF College of Medicine.

Dr. Melendez is a member of professional societies, including the Society of Hospital Medicine, American College of Physicians, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and has a basic understanding of Italian.
