    Dr. David A. Gerena Montano is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Miami at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he was honored as Chief Resident and Teaching Resident of the Year and served as a representative for the Graduate Medical Education Committee.

    Dr. Gerena Montano’s clinical interests include hospital medicine and internal medicine. He has served in a wide range of clinical environments, including private outpatient settings and high-volume tertiary care centers. He has also served as a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he educated medical students and assisted with curriculum development.

    Dr. Gerena Montano is a member of the American Medical Association, and he is certified in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). He is also fluent in Spanish.
