Dr. Daniel Gologorsky is a compassionate and caring Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal specialist who trained at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the premier ophthalmology hospital, which continues to be ranked the #1 eye hospital in the nation by US News and World Report. There, he was the recipient of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Foundation Excellence Award, granted to the top residents in the country. He completed additional subspecialty training as a vitreoretinal fellow at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan.     Dr. Gologorsky completed his Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University with Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude honors in Chemistry, and went on to obtain his medical degree (MD) at Dartmouth Medical School. He later pursued his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he focused on healthcare and operations management. Dr. Gologorsky was a proud recipient of the Payson-Wilson-Hampers Scholar’s Award, the prestigious Douglas P. Zipes MD Research Prize in Medicine, and the Thomas Brown McClelland Trust Award from the Miami Rotary Club. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, ARVO Advocacy Expert Development Program, and ARVO Advocacy & Outreach Committee.

    Dr. Gologorsky has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, and has presented at dozens of national and international conferences. An expert on ocular imaging, Dr. Gologorsky authored the textbook, “Principles of Ocular Imaging: A Comprehensive Guide to the Eye Specialist,” published in 2020.

    Dr. Gologorsky is a conservative ophthalmologist and surgeon, and recommends surgery only when no other recourse is available. With a diversity of training from Bascom Palmer and New York City, Dr. Gologorsky synthesizes the best techniques into his practice.

    Dr. Gologorsky has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Broward Health Medical Center since 2019. He is currently the Director of the Division of Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL.

    Dr. Gologorsky is fluent in English, Russian, Hebrew, and medical Spanish.
