Dr. Carlos Martin Cespedes is a board-certified family medicine physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Key West, where he has been living and practicing since 2020. He earned his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Cespedes has more than 25 years of experience in comprehensive family medicine, clinical leadership, and medical education. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Medical Center, he served as an attending family medicine physician at multiple organizations in Illinois and Indiana, including Edward Elmhurst Healthcare. He was a part of Elmhurst Clinic, where he served as the chairman of the family medicine department and on the board of directors.

Dr. Cespedes has demonstrated a strong commitment to medical education and mentorship, serving as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students at Rush University and Loyola University and for medical students at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has even provided education on sleep disorders and held leadership roles involving health care quality and accreditation. As an owner of a med spa, Dr. Cespedes also has aesthetic medicine experience, with a concentration in Nd:YAG and Er:YAG laser treatments.
