Dr. Brian Reuland is a pulmonary and critical care physician who is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He has a medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. During medical school he was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and earned the Michael Aranow Prize, both in recognition for humanistic and compassionate patient care. He completed his internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He also completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Dr. Reuland’s clinical interests include flexible bronchoscopy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), airway procedures and ventilator management, point of care ultrasound and advanced critical care echocardiography, pleural procedures, and central venous and arterial access procedures.

    Dr. Reuland has led quality improvement initiatives and researched a range of topics, including extracorporeal life support curriculum development, tuberculosis treatment, breast cancer genetics, and interstitial lung disease in World Trade Center survivors. He has also contributed to articles in publications such as Nature, Breathe, JAMIA, and Journal of Patient Safety. He is passionate about medical education and chaired the American Thoracic Society Trainees Interested in Medical Education Committee in 2024-2025.
