Dr. Andrea C. Yegüez is a urologist with advanced surgical training in urologic care. She completed her residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Perelman School of Medicine.

Dr. Yegüez’s clinical interests include female urology and pelvic floor disorders, with a strong emphasis on improving access to care and health equity. She has a particular commitment to serving underserved and Spanish-speaking populations.

During her residency, she has held leadership roles within initiatives focused on expanding access to surgical care, including managing urology referrals through the Center for Surgical Health and Puentes de Salud, a nonprofit clinic serving the Latino community in South Philadelphia. She has also led volunteer clinical efforts and coordinated community-based urology services.

Dr. Yegüez has several peer-reviewed publications and presentations in urology, dermatology, immunology, and surgical education. Her research has explored topics such as urologic oncology outcomes, pelvic floor disorder communication in Spanish-speaking populations, disease severity indices, and surgical disparities education. She has presented at national and international conferences including the American Urological Association, Society of Women in Urology–related forums, and interdisciplinary surgical education meetings.

Dr. Yegüez is fluent in English and Spanish.
