Dr. Ana Berbel Caban is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, infectious disease, and critical care medicine. She earned her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Puerto Rico. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She also completed infectious disease and critical care medicine fellowships at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
Dr. Berbel Caban’s clinical interests include infectious disease research and medical education. She is currently practicing as a critical care physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center. As an educator, she has given lectures on topics such as Healthcare Associated Infections, Meningitis, Tropical Medicine, Pneumonia, and COVID-19 for medical students, residents, and fellows.
