A Prospective Clinical Study to Evaluate the Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion Surgical Approach: 2 Year Follow-Up (Protocol # 12-14-H-03)

The Orthopedics Department is conducting a research study.  The goal of this study is evaluate the minimally invasive lateral lumbar interbody fusion approach as opposed to the traditional open surgical approach using anterior lumbar interbody fusion or posterior lumbar interbody fusion technique.  The study will last for two years after surgery.

Efficacy and Safety of Expandable Spacer in the Treatment of Degenerative Disc Disease using the Minimally Invasive Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion Surgical Approach (Protocol #12-15-H-03)

The Orthopedics Department is conducting a research study.   The goal of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of CALIBERä expandable spacer for the treatment of Degenerative Disc Disease.  The study will last for 2 years after surgery.
