He completed his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, following a Diagnostic Radiology residency at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to his training, he completed an Internal Medicine internship at Morristown Medical Center and earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

    Dr. Andres Krauthamer is a board-certified interventional and diagnostic radiologist, who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided therapies that offer effective alternatives to surgery, often with reduced risk, pain, and recovery time.

    He completed his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, following a Diagnostic Radiology residency at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he served as Chief Resident.     Dr. Krauthamer’s clinical interests include uterine fibroid embolization, hemorrhoid embolization, and genicular artery embolization for knee osteoarthritis. Additional areas of interest include interventional oncology procedures such as chemoembolization, radioembolization, and percutaneous ablation for liver and kidney tumors, as well as the treatment of vascular malformations and complex venous disorders, including deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, varicoceles, and pelvic congestion syndrome.

    Dr. Krauthamer is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Oncology. He has authored several scientific publications and contributed to the textbook Image-Guided Interventions: Expert Radiology Series.

    He is fluent in English and Spanish.
