Megan Hanlon Romero is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner at the Mount Sinai Medical Center Comprehensive Cancer Center, specializing in gynecologic oncology. She provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with gynecologic malignancies, supporting diagnosis, treatment planning, symptom management, and survivorship care across the continuum. In addition to her oncology practice, she independently evaluates and manages patients with benign gynecologic conditions.
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida and brings a strong clinical background in acute care and emergency medicine. Her practice includes overseeing systemic cancer therapies, managing treatment-related toxicities, providing patient education on oncology treatment options, and performing specialty procedures as appropriate. Megan also serves as a sub-investigator on clinical research trials, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure protocol adherence, patient safety, and high-quality care.
