Dr. Susana Barreiro is a physician specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. She completed her fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and minors in chemistry and Italian.

Dr. Barreiro has presented her research at national endocrine conferences, including the American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Society.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, Dr. Barreiro enjoys providing evidence-based, personalized care that empowers patients to better understand and confidently manage their endocrine and metabolic health.
