Dr. Asante Badu is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Badu earned her Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology from Harvard College in Cambridge, MA. She earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She completed her residency training at Montefiore Medical Center, where she served as an Administrative Chief Resident and was awarded the Montefiore Medical Center Outstanding House Officer Award and the Davidoff Award for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching.

An avid researcher, Dr. Badu has participated in research related to immunology, visual processing, and more. She also served as a Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine after graduating residency.

Dr. Badu is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has contributed to research, publications, and presentations on topics that include pelvic floor myofascial pain and timing of surgical management of ectopic pregnancies.
