Amanda Gonzalez is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner specializing in cardiovascular care at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She works collaboratively with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate patients, manage cardiac conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans to support long-term heart health.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Barry University and brings extensive experience in critical care and cardiovascular medicine. In her role, Amanda performs comprehensive cardiac assessments, interprets diagnostic testing including treadmill and pharmacologic stress tests, prescribes and monitors medications, and educates patients and families on lifestyle modifications and disease management. Her background includes serving as a charge nurse and senior registered nurse in the Medical and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, where she cared for critically ill patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions.
