Dr. Gautam Malik is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. He is currently on staff as a hospitalist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fla.

Dr. Malik’s clinical interests include hospital medicine, anesthesiology, cardiovascular research, and medical education. He has contributed to cardiovascular research at the University of Illinois and University of Connecticut Health Center, collaborating and volunteering in cardiothoracic surgery and molecular cardiology. He has served in both academic and community hospital settings, including his role as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Heights, Ill., where he educated medical students, interns, and residents.

Dr. Malik has co-authored articles and abstracts that have been published by the American College of Physicians and the Journal of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. He is also fluent in Hindi.
