Dr. Manuel Gonzalez-Cruz is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey in Cuba. He completed his internal medicine residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Hialeah, Fla., where he previously worked in their emergency department.

Dr. Gonzalez-Cruz’s clinical interests include hospital medicine and critical care. He is adept at diagnosing, treating, and managing chronic and acute illnesses. He was certified in critical care and specialized in family medicine while in Cuba. He also served as a primary care physician in Venezuela. These experiences contribute to his comprehensive perspective on providing excellent patient care.

Dr. Gonzalez-Cruz has authored articles on topics such as acute pancreatitis, hiatal hernia, and pulmonary embolism that have been published in several U.S. medical journals. He has presented posters on topics that include hypertension risk factors in adults and sexually transmitted disease prevention, with both focused on rural populations. In addition, he is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Gonzalez-Cruz is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). He is also fluent in Spanish.
