Support |
The Wien Center's caring social workers, nurses, counselors and psychologists understand the unique challenges and needs that memory disorder patients present to their families and caregivers. In addition to connecting families and caregivers to various community resources including home care, day care, respite care, advance directives and long-term placement options, the center enhances its support via educational workshops, training and support groups. The Wien Center also strives to address multicultural family needs.
Alzheimer's Disease Support Group
For caregivers and family members of patients with Alzheimer's disease or other memory disorders, the group provides mutual support and education to help patients and caregivers cope with this devastating illness. Separate groups are held in English and in Spanish. Call Graciela M. Fowler (Lita), MSW, LCSW at (305) 335-9733
