Statement from the Program Director
Thank you for your interest in our Cardiology Fellowship program. Mount Sinai Medical Center is a private, non-profit, teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Miami. We are proud to have a very busy cardiovascular program, performing more than 3,700 cardiac catheterizations and 550 open heart procedures per year.
We offer a three year training program that covers all aspects of adult cardiovascular disease. Rotations during the first two years include clinical and intensive care cardiology, non-invasive cardiology (echocardiography and stress testing), cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology. The third year is spent developing expertise in a particular sub-specialty of cardiology. In addition, all fellows are required to take part in clinical investigation during their training.
We are now accepting applications for the 2011 Fellowship program. Please apply through ERAS as we are participating in the Match for the 2011 class. Our deadline to apply is January 4, 2010. Please click on Application Process below to obtain the necessary material to apply to the program.
