The field of medical oncology treats cancers through drugs and related therapies – chemotherapy, hormone therapy and biological response modifiers. We diagnose and treat cancer, working closely with surgical oncologists and radiation oncologists to create the best treatment plan for each patient. We carefully monitor each patient during ongoing treatments, and meet with a multidisciplinary team of other doctors on a weekly basis to review each case. Our doctors participate in leading cancer trials, meaning that often promising advanced treatments are available to our patients who participate in appropriate trials years before they are FDA approved.
