A space-age camera in a tiny capsule, the new PillCam, is exactly what the name suggests-it's a pill with a miniature camera inside that takes pictures of the intestines as it passes through a person's body. We're conducting an ongoing clinical trial to see if Tegaserod, a drug that increases the speed of intestinal movement, can decrease the time it takes for the PillCam to move through the intestine, so the PillCam can detect more abnormalities of the small bowel.
